BLACK POPLAR – Populus nigra

Large tree with rather collected foliage and an oval or open shape that can exceed 30 meters in height. Although it is commonly found along waterways, it also tolerates periods of moderate drought.

There are male selections that have the enormous advantage of absolutely not producing the spring fluff typical of poplars. Together with the plane tree and the English oak, it is the plant that reaches the largest dimensions in our environments.
